Judge Death Lives!

Recently, I've begun trawling back through my old 2000AD's, from what I think is the comic's 'golden age' (progs 200-400). Having not done this for a couple of years, I was delighted to find that they are still holding up after thirty-odd years. There really was some incredible stuff published back then: Classic Dredd, Nemesis The Warlock, Strontium Dog, Rogue Trooper - All hitting the peak of their powers during the early to mid 1980's. but nothing brings back the memories of an eleven year old me flooding back like the astonishing 2000AD artwork of Brian Bolland, perhaps the best artist to ever work on Dredd.

So with that in mind, here are the two Bolland covers for the classic Judge Death story, 'Death Lives' from progs 224 and 225. (The story ran in progs 224-228) along with a couple of pages of art that ought to have you digging through your back progs immediately! Thrill Power Overload, indeed!

The three brothers of Judge Death, Judges Fire, Fear and Mortis come to Mega City One to rescue him and are pursued by Dredd and Anderson as they make their escape to their own dark dimension; 'Deadworld', where (apparently) they are destroyed.
